Our Founder

Ivy is the CEO / Founder of ParenTeen Connecting & Consulting. She earned a Bachelor of Psychology degree from Eastern Connecticut State University, and a Masters of Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College. She is pursuing a Doctorate (PsyD(c), in Human Organizational Psychology. In addition to Counseling, Ivy has served as an Advocate for children, adolescent and young adults with special needs, gifted children, and children with Autism. Her specialties include children, adolescent, college students and as well as parent coaching. Ivy utilizes the creative process to allow individuals to explore positive ways to gain insight into self-awareness, increase social skills, and confront stressors and underlying issues, in a safe, confidential, and supportive atmosphere.

ParenTeen Coaching

One of Ivy passions is to provide parents with support and constructed ideas that can strengthen their effectiveness, enhance bonding, and restore their sense of hope in their families. Ivy support parents throught out ParenTeen Academy Programs© and Coaching Services that allow parents to have the opportunity to enhance, and enrich their child / parent relationships. They are taught to be observers of their child or adolescent behavior and foster a healthy development through specific techniques.

Educational Consultant

Ivy has served hundreds of families in educating parents about the law, their rights, and in how to become great advocate of their children’s needs. She has also collaborated with private /public schools, in helping teachers incorporating classroom techniques to fulfill the children’s specific needs, and to create a sense of safety, and community, as well as fostering collaboration from students.

TV & Radio Mental Health & Empowerment Expert

Ivy experience and service in the community have extended to local, national, and international audiences through her collaborations with radio and television stations as a Mental Health Expert and Empowerment Coach. She has been a Guest Speaker on various programs, including Univision TV Live News, Radio 1030AM, Radio 104.7FM, Radio 98.1FM, Radio 97.9FM broadcast nationwide and internationally through iHeart Radio. She has contributed to discussions on topics related to mental health, children, adolescents, parents, topics related to women, systems and entrepreneurship
